gzcmp, gzdiff - compare compressed files

ggggzzzzddddiiiiffffffff [ diff_options ] file1 [ file2 ]
DDDDEEEESSSSCCCCRRRRIIIIPPPPTTTTIIIIOOOONNNN
_G_z_c_m_p and _g_z_d_i_f_f are used to invoke the _c_m_p or the _d_i_f_f program on
compressed files. All options specified are passed directly to _c_m_p or
_d_i_f_f. If only 1 file is specified, then the files compared are _f_i_l_e_1 and
an uncompressed _f_i_l_e_1.gz. If two files are specified, then they are
uncompressed if necessary and fed to _c_m_p or _d_i_f_f. The exit status from
_c_m_p or _d_i_f_f is preserved.
